Andrew Tye

Overview

Andrew Tye is a British contemporary furniture designer. Andrew has designed his own range of bespoke furniture as well as taking commissions from Ralph Lauren, Nicole Farhi, the BBC and other private clients.

Requirements

Andrew approached us to design a site which would reflect his creativity in furniture design. The site was required to display the furniture in detail by featuring different angles and furniture combinations so the customer could have a better understanding of the final products. The site was also required to keep users updated with news and up-coming new products.

Solution

We designed a Flash site with subtle animations and sound effects to represent the simplicity and modernist approach in Andrew’s work. 3D animations of all the products were created to show the dimensions and how the products are either assembled, stacked and used or how they can be adjusted or combined. This along with close-up images of the products gives the user a better appreciation of the furniture. We also developed a Content Management System which allows the client to update the news articles.
