Hippie Mus

Overview

Hippie Mus is an exhibition microsite for Norwegian artist, Marianne Aulie. Marianne is well known for her paintings of clowns and regularly sprays her work with champagne as her signature trademark.

Requirements

Marianne Aulie appointed us to design an identity and website to reflect the hippie movement of the 60's which was the theme of her up and coming exhibition. The microsite needed to generate interest in the exhibition but also stand out from the crowd and create a fun and interesting way to display Marianne's latest works of art.

Solution

We designed a logo which was 60's inspired and website which had a hippie vibe and "arty" feel. The site has a clean, colourful blend of 60's hippie and 21st century modernism. We used a video of Marianne on the homepage to add some movement and taking inspiration from her work we layered different elements to build depth.
