Live Ice

Overview

Live Ice is an art installation project by Norwegian artist, Vebjørn Sand. The exhibition was to highlight the very real danger of global warming, by creating an ice sculpture (using water from Antarctica) which would inevitably melt.

Requirements

Vebjørn Sand's vision was to create a site which transported the user to Antarctica. He also wanted to display some of his latest paintings on the site to convey his passion and experience of the Antarctic.

Solution

We designed a Flash site showing Vebjørns ice bridge with animated clouds as the focal backdrop of the site. Sound effects were added to evoke the atmosphere of the Antarctic. We also used voiceovers and videos to enhance the user’s experience.
